I really don't. Don't like the word used in a family setting.. just doesn't feel right..
Noticing more parents (dads really) just casually dropping the F word in normal conversation with their teen kids...
Gotta say it's pretty trashy feeling...
Am I being too judgy??

No. That's trashy as hell.
I don't cuss around my kids or my wife.

It was rare when we were kids but once we got closer to 18 we started catching some.
"Hold that F'ing flashlight still!"

But when they start dropping F-bombs it leaves me no choice but to tell them to shut the frick up.

I try not to, but those little bastards sometimes get the best of me or land a groin shot and I let one slip in frustration. I was working on construction sites by age 10, so I've perfected cursing into a fine art over the years. My general rule is to not cuss until the other person cusses. Then, it's game on.

I have, not many times, I normally don't cuss in everyday conversations, but they tend to fly out of my mouth when I get frustrated or if I hit my pinky toe on the corner of something. I've been getting better about not cussing, I really don't want too. I do feel convicted when I do and ask for forgiveness, I'm still a work in progress.

I have three kids, their cumulative age is ~100 years.
They have never heard me say a curse word.
My dad or mom never did in front of me, just returning the favor.

No. Mine are 11 and 9 and I actually try not to curse around them.

Nope. Kids are parrots, so I try not to curse in general.
Also don't want to be hypocritical. Stuff slips from time to time, but I make sure to own up to it so they see that I'm accountable to the same standard I'm holding them to

No. I don't curse around my 16 year old daughter nor her friends.

I try to used minced oaths.

I rarely use that sort of language amongst close friends my own age.

Seems a lot of you are scared of "bad" words. What makes frick any different than other words?

I've heard my Dad say "frick" one time in my 41 years.
It was during Gustav, and a tree fell on my Grandma's house, so we were there helping cut/clean the tree of the house (during the storm).
As were cutting the tree off the house, another tree cuts my Dads truck that was parked in the driveway in half.
He looks at his truck, looks at me, then looks down and just screams "frick!" and we just go back to working on the tree.

People who curse often have frontal lobe issues and impulse control problems.
