Newsweek: Jeff Landry Declares Aim to Make Greenland Part of US
President Donald Trump’s newly appointed Greenland special envoy, Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry said he would work to “make Greenland a part of the U.S.,” reviving tensions with Copenhagen over the semi-autonomous Danish territory.
"Greenland belongs to the Greenlanders," Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said in a statement posted to Instagram. "The U.S. shall not take over Greenland."

Trump saw how pivotal Landry was in taking Kiffin from Ole Miss and feels that same skillset could be used in taking Greenland from Denmark. His first move will be to hold a press conference completely trashing the current PM of Greenland and questioning the contract that he signed with Denmark and how ridiculous the buyout is.
