A Cuban QB in Miami would reinvigorate that franchise.

How? Being just as bad as Tua won’t win hearts

Miami needs an actual proven QB. If htey want to draft a rookie to pin thei rhopes on they might as well just trade away everything to blow it up and start from scratch. Look at their recent run on QBs:

-Vet Pennington- aight. Not great, but steady enough
-Draft henne- bust/sucked.
-Vet tannehill- aight. Good enough.
-Vet fizpatrick- up and down but led them go 10-6 one year
-Draft tua - unsuccessful

No playoff win since 2000. No one you listed was remotely successful.

Or if Burrow is wanting out of Cincy, will they trade for him?

Get Mendoza, trade Tua to a desperate franchise like the Bengals or Saints for a couple of picks, build a quality roster, and they’ll win a playoff game in 2028 or so.

Solid troll. Should rile up most of this board.

Probably have to attach a few picks with Tua bc of his huge contract

I mean, Tua took them to the playoffs back to back seasons, which hadn't happened for Miami since 2001. Dolphins are just a poorly run franchise overall.

If they get Mendoza, he'd still be stuck in a ground up rebuild for years most likely before being able to make anything happen. Anyone trust the Dolphin's front office to not frick it up? Yeah, me neither.

I honestly don’t understand the infatuation with Mendoza. Maybe because I watched him play vs just seeing he won the Heisman. Only 1 game throwing 300 yards is miserable in college. The Penn State game he had 150 or so yards 0 passing TDs and a pick prior to the last drive. 0 touchdowns and less than 200 yards vs Old Dominion. His touchdowns came against crap opponents. 4 vs Kennesaw State, 5 vs Indiana State, 5 vs Illinois, 4 Michigan State, 4 vs Wisconsin.

I don’t see it. Is it just because he’s 6’5”?

He has been clutch in 3 big games but I agree. He has only played a few games against teams with NFL defensive talent and he has struggled to consistently move the ball. I noticed he panics early and sacks himself when there’s pressure. Not something you want on a bad NFL team picking top 3.

He can earn himself a lot of money if he can move the ball against the Bama defense

Solid idea. If nothing else it might put a few butts in seats.

If the draft order stays the same, they will have to give up a ton to move up to #1 from #10. Mendoza is going number 1, barring injury.
