He would be at the top of the list or very close to it.

Hoover is good, but a turnover machine. He’s not a dual threat at all, and I’d prefer someone who gives LSU more versatility, Chambliss, Leavitt, or Joseph.

CFB is wild nowadays.

So if NIL existed 10-20 years ago, Andy Dalton, and Trevone Boykin would have upped and left TCU? It’s just wild to see some of these mercenaries leaving their schools for nothing more than a few more dollars. Hoover has been at TCU for 4 years now. Gone are the days of a player sticking out his whole career at once place.

Even if we end up not having interest, it helps decrease the pools of NIL money at other schools, so I'm all for it!

Why wouldn't they? They aren't guaranteed anything from the NFL. They probably don't want to sit in a cubicle the rest of their life. Until the NCAA enforces some actual rules I'd be doing it too

The NCAA gets sued and loses whenever they try to enforce rules.

People think this is progress but the NCAA was formed to clean up the original shite show that was college athletics and to prevent it from becoming the Wild West again.

Enter modern government and here we are.

NCAA is nothing but a figurehead organization to make money and screw everything else up. They're useless and need to be dissolved at this point.

Pure pocket passer. Some teams will love him, some won't. I could see Texas Tech might pay, or hell, maybe Mizzu might go after him. All they needed was a decent passer in 2025 and they would have made the playoffs. Two of their 3 losses were by 11 and 7 points. Both RBs come back that averaged over 6 yards a carry.

Things don't stay the same, such is life. Seems like college football fans are the only group of people that don't understand that.

The guy has been at TCU for 4 years. At that point, go pro of make some money somewhere. At best he's a late round draft pick and possible NFL backup. Go get paid 2+ mill at a decent college with a chance at the playoffs instead. Even at 100k a year, it would take some of these kids 15+ years to make the same money they'd get in one year of NIL.

Most of these guys aren’t going to be NFL players. There is a lucrative market for them at the college level and opportunity to make more money in 4-5 years than they may otherwise make in 10-15 years of a regular career.

Also, I love the "few dollars line".

"Excuse me sir. Every year I decide to go from the 300k a year job to the 2 mill dollar in one year job. It's only a few dollars more"

Like the kid wasn't there for 4 damn years.
