PSA...I am a retired teacher, teaching Drivers Ed...Please be patient...

I am a retired teacher, teaching Drivers Ed. Most people go out of their way to be kind to my students on the road. But, too often like this morning we were going a little slow in left lane down Airline. We were their for 2 reasons
1. She had never driven in left lane
2. We were getting ready to turn left at next light.
This guy freaked out cursing and flipping us off. My students nervousness was at that point off the charts. Please be patient and give us a wide berth.

Whether the driver was a student is irrelevant; this guy is at worst mentally ill and at best a jackass with the self-control of an under-slept toddler.

I saw a pickup truck get on the horn with nowhere really to go because of a red light in front of him when the vehicle in front had the audacity to slow down and change lanes.

I know you’re joking, but even if this was what happened, it’s a student driver. They’re going to make mistakes, so you keep your distance and give them some grace if you’re not a deranged a-hole.

This is not going to end well.
It's best to get your student used to the road raging maniacs who drive 200mps in the left lane and will blow a gasket on her for being in their way.
People in vehicle, epically in Louisiana suck and are insufferable assholes.

Perfectly understandable. The left lane/passing lane stuff applies mostly to limited access roadways (interstates). Though it is good habit to just stay right if moving slow on a multi-lane highway.

People are insane out here. It’s a good lesson for her I guess. Everyone needs to calm the frick down.
