Now I know that title sounds doom and gloom, but I am very excited about this class. While we only have 14 commits, we still have the highest average rating in the country. The quality/quantity is great, and I think CLK is about to have a historic portal window. This team is about to spend more than any other team has ever spent in the portal to fill the remaining roster spots we have after this freshman class.

Leaves a lot of room for highest ranked portal players.

I was going to mention that. LSU passed Oregon who they had been trailing the entire recruiting season for "highest average rating" per prospect signed. Of course you need quality AND quantity but the quality was taken care of. The portal is going to have to provide quantity and also maintain decent quality of course.

And Lane said that he has "zero concern about portal signings". The portal is where his recruiting expertise will really shine.

All efforts should be on impact players only. No one is sticking around to be developed. Signing 30, wasting staff time wasting resources where only 7-8 have a chance to impact your team next year. Then poof, half are gone never contributing a thing.
Sign 15-18 with impact guys. Bring in 10-12 portals and go to work. Nurse maiding 25 kids from a single class that will never play is lunacy
