My career is automotive-adjacent. Point being, theres A LOT of hurdles left to clear for this, not the least of which is convincing the manufacturers that the next administration isnt going to arbitrarily decide that all this was actually against some obscure regulation and fining them into oblivion.
Congress needs to un-frick the amount of authority government agencies have to arbitrarily regulate and fine industry.

Yeah its amazing to travel to Mexico or Costa Rica and see the cool vehicles there, but "can't have them in the U.S."
