I wouldn’t be shocked to see Billy have G5 success again though.

Honestly he might just belong in G5, the Cajun fans should view this as a saban to Alabama moment

. Could go both ways
uLL fans have low expectations outside of the Napier years
JMU has been a program humming for a while now and Cignetti really put them on the map with his success at IU

If Billy adapts and gets an OC he might work but I think if he tries his exact process over there again they won’t put up with it. It’s what failed him at Florida and will fail there too if he’s too rigid

Napier might be better than who they replaced him with. Remains to be seen!

Napier was very successful in the Sunbelt. 40–12 overall and 27–5 in conference. has last 3 were 33-4 overall and 22-2. There's a reason you guys hired him in the first place.

Napier is fine in lower conferences.

Florida should try hiring from P5 sometime

Merlin did ok initially IIRC, but fell off when he stopped recruiting. At least that’s what I recall. I do remember he fielded some good teams at MooState mostly because of one of Les Miles’ TE recruits.

Mullen never really recruited. He had a good philosophy though. He would essentially look around the state for great athletes who were under the radar at their position and mold them into what he needed at state.

Doubtful. With Florida resources you have to be putrid to win 4 games in year 4.

Has a better winning pct. at Florida than Napier.

Zook: 23-14 (.622)
Napier: 22-23 (.490)
