I second this. Recruits always wear random college stuff. No different than when lsu recruits wear bama gloves and towels during a game.

He had an objectively successful track record as an OC in his previous stints as well. No one is saying he’s the only good candidate but he is one of them. He also only makes 7 million a year currently which makes pulling him away more realistic than other options.

This actually feels like a real and accurate view of the situation.

The difference is that I don't believe Sage committed on signing day. It was just a verbal commitment.

If you don't like them, then don't pay for their services! However, they are the ones who are in communication with the players, the families, the coaches (both high school and college), and various other writers and scouts who cover high school football for a living. On most cases, they know a lot more than the average fan on a message board. Most of the information we receive will originate from one of these writers.

Another thing to remember is that a player who doesn't sign with us may still end up in the purple and gold in a couple of years. Likewise, a player who does sign with us may only last one year. Crazy things happen in the portal whether we like it or not.

What I love about this is that espn made fun of Brian Kelly to his face about doing this with Walker Howard, and he could care less!
