a source familiar with the situation told FootballScoop late Monday night that Kiffin is expected to attempt to bring every on-field offensive assistant with him "except John Garrison, he's not going."

So Kevin Smith comes as RB coach? Frank Wilson gone?

Can Wilson just accept a title of “Lead Recruiting Coordinator and Associate HC” or some crap?

We all want Frank in a recruiting role. Smith is an elite RB coach though, and Frank is not.

Well, it would be more helpful if he were actually a good position coach......

We all know Wilson can recruit, what's the consensus on his ability to actually coach?

It sucks this might cost us Frank and some present/future recruits out of NOLA.

But yeah, Smith is one of the better RB coaches out there. They’ll be fine. Might have to adjust and go dip into MS and east TX more instead of NOLA but if Lane builds a brand, those guys in NOLA will want to come to LSU even without Frank Wilson. Just might cost us some guys this year

I haven’t seen anything great from a running back since he came back. All these guys have regressed as the years go by

That would be a demotion and loss in pay.

And?

I’m not sure how any coach om the offensive side of the ball for LSU this year even finds a job anywhere that isn’t a demotion. It was the most putrid looking and 110th ranked offense in the country. I promise it was the most talented group in the bottom half of the offsnive rankings.

Frank’s running backs couldn’t find the hole. When Frank became interim head coach, did the offense improve? He had a great chance to show how much offensive knowledge he had. He didn’t win anyone over.

Great recruiter, subpar om the field coach. The numbers don’t lie (look at his career head coaching record).

I’m not disagreeing, but Frank probably feels entitled to a spot on the “on field” staff. He has not done anything to deserve such.

Yeah I’m kind of over the we need —- to recruit New Orleans.

If the coaches and recruits are too dumb to come to an elite program that Lane has humming because they don’t have a buddy in the program then frick em.
