Everyone was laughing saying how LSU wouldn't be able to hire a good coach, and now that we did just that they are too arrogant to admit they were wrong. Nobody is hating on Jon Sumrall for leaving a Tulane team that controls their own destiny and still has a path to the playoffs, which proves that it was never about morals and it's really just about shitting on LSU. frick em all, I say.

It's about the little man getting fricked. People like when the smaller schools do well.

But Daddy's home.

On my social media, its LSU fans that arent real thrilled. Not that Kiffin cant coach, its that he will bolt for Bama/NFL if successful here.

I'd say 60% of the posts Ive seen are lukewarm to blah.

LSU is fun. We have the best stadium in college football and the best mascot and the best fanbase and one of the nations best teams and programs.

We are also just fun people. Miserable Yankees and western nomads and east coast fart sniffers hate fun and enjoyment and tradition

Nobody believes Tulane will go anywhere in the playoffs. They’re cannon fodder.

Ole Miss is Cinderella in some people’s heads, and we’re crushing that.

I’m not saying I’m sad about that, because it’s Ole Miss and screw em.

No it’s not. Happy to have him, but what Kiffin is doing to Ole Miss is pretty shitty.

True but yesterday the argument was that Ole Miss was just as good a job. And nobody gives two shits about Tulane and North Texas playing for a conference title with both coaches leaving.

this.

Same thing would be happening if georgia, bama, michigan doing the some.

Some lsu fans need to get over their self pity of "everyone hates us"

If it was Texas, Alabama, USC, ND, Ohio St, Penn St, Michigan, they all would be saying that he CANT pass this opportunity up

It’s not anti-LSU, they all admit LSU is much better program…they just don’t view LSU like the previous mentioned programs. Thats the difference in media darlings

Given how many different coaches have won a championship here, this all comes from fear. Everyone knows if LSU has even a halfway decent coach, we’re a national title contender.

How is he a good coach? He left Tennessee in the middling of the night for USC that he burned into the ground.

Blame the calendar. There was no good time to do this but there is a right way to go about it. I understand Ole Miss's stance on it, but don't publicly give anyone an ultimatum and a timeline and expect that to go well.

No, it's not.

No one envisioned a coach leaving a playoff bound team and gutting its staff. No one.

Many are ticked off. They don't give a damn about LSU or Ole Miss but the whole idea of this taking place as it did infuriates many. It's bad for the game and bad for the sport.
