Why all the melting?

The leaks of “Kiffin considering staying in Oxford” were always going to happen before this game. Why not sign the extension right now? If no extension is announced before the game I just don’t see him staying at Ole Miss. He’s had weeks to sign that extension. Still hasn’t. I feel very confident saying Kiffin will not be the head coach at Ole Miss next year.

Agreed. Plus I think you’d also hear LSU was interviewing other coaches during the last week or so if there was a threat of him not coming. Should be a fun 24-36 hours to find out the verdict! Maybe they lose to State today to make it easier for him to stick with his decision.

He could’ve done that a week ago. Or yesterday to make sure everyone focuses on the game.

Just like there’s zero reason for LSU not to announce it if they have a deal.
Ole Miss called their shots many days ago. Leaks Wednesday or Thursday and formal announcement Saturday.
