Louisiana culture embraces the outside! Look at the baseball players from out of state that have called Baton Rouge home, and former football players that have never left. If he is successful here and embraces this awesome fan base and culture of LA, there isn’t a better job to go to. Ask Nick Saban if he ever regret for leaving.

Recruiting is totally different than a head coach! High school kids can’t ever be trusted! Many years of last minute flips should tell you that. At the time he probably sent that, I’m sure those kids let LSU want to hear what they wanted to hear. Recruiting 17 and 18 year olds change by the minute!

Is Nick Saban a better coach before NIL than after NIL? Is a coach who isn’t fond on recruiting better now than before NIL? My point is, money is being thrown around everywhere at these programs! Not as much about how you had to recruit in past. Now it is who can take a different team each year and make those players buy into a system and play together! We are living in the days of college basketball with John Calipari at Kentucky and he couldn’t manage the new teams every year but had to win every year. Not saying you don’t need to recruit the high school kids but to win year end and year out, the portal is your main play. Kiffin has proved he can develop a great team in NIL at Ole Miss and had good teams even before NIL. But last two years is where you need to evaluate these coaches. Past has nothing to do with anything unless if there were issues beyond football!

You can’t look at Kiffin past the last few years! Before that it was no NIL. Kiffin with NIL at a program like LSU is a Homerun hire! Players coach and fans would love him. Just think of what he can do with the money lsu will bring in for players and he would always have a good QB! Look what he has done with a division 3 transfer this year!
