For all of the people wondering why it hasn’t been “leaked”…

Have you ever heard of a non disclosure agreement (NDA)? It means you are legally bound not to divulge any information. Very common when confidentiality is the priority. I would imagine that if it is “done” then a handful of people have that information and all were required to sign an NDA.

Highly doubt there are any NDA's at play here. The reality is national reporters aren't going to "leak" anything until they have confirmation. That usually comes from one of two places, the coach's representatives (agents) or school representatives (people in the SID office). Without confirmation from these two groups, nobody with national credibility is breaking it. So as long as you don't have leaks in these two places, it isn't going to leak.

Even if a hypothetical decision has been made, which is doubtful, there's still no impetus to leak it because it would be bad for all parties involved.

we probably know everything there is to know right now.
Either it’s nothing
or Lane has made animal agreement to come to LSU and they’re letting him coach the egg bowl
before anyone announces.
LSU isn’t saying anything because they don’t want to piss of Lane and have him back out
Lane isn’t saying anything because he wants to finish the season
Ole Miss isnt saying anything because going to the CFP is a huge deal and they don’t want the team falling apart if Lane leaves.
So we have heard what our offer is, We’ve heard how much interest there is. What else is there to leak?

Normally I would agree with that, but it just does not match with the communication coming from OM. You don’t announce a specific day for a decision to be made public if the decision hasn’t already been made.

Ole Miss pressed him for an answer. He wasn't willing to give them one. Ole Miss rightfully is extremely concerned as they viewed that as their last stand and put all of their cards on the table.
But, don't confuse that with a decision is made. Kiffin decides that.
