Why has no one broken the story?

One of our connected guys (iowacitytigerfan) said late last week that LSU had a gag order in place. I've run with the theory that we're truly not going to know it's done until the story is published by ESPN

They can't break the story until they can verify it and no one can verify anything in writing until after the Egg Bowl because Lane isn't signing anything until after the game. You can get leaks from people that are involved in the process, but no journalist with integrity is going to fabricate a story because of impatience. They would lose all credibility.

Sexton is doing what he does. He's bouncing offers around to drive it up as high as he can for Lane (and indirectly Kirby). Lane is trying to focus on the game and figure out what he wants to do. He's interested in LSU and he's interested in Florida. Only he knows which one he wants more and he has a formal offer from both teams that he is considering.
