Is Cam Jordan a hall of famer?

Never really thought he was. He’s been solid his entire career but has probably only been all pro level 2 or 3 seasons his entire career. Only reason I’m asking is I did not realize he is 18th all time in sacks.

Hall of very good for a long time. Same as Demario

3 All Pros, 8 Pro Bowls, Top 20 in sacks all time and a beast against the run at the same time. Yes he is Canton Bound!

Excluding JJ Watt (who’s obviously a lock) PFR’s Hall of Fame Monitor has him as the highest HOF likelihood of anyone not already in the hall
From afar it doesn’t feel like he’s left that strong a mark on the game (NO being oft ignored partially to blame, particularly with their decline) but he’s been gradually accumulating a nice career with a nice window of pure excellence (2017-2019)
He’s about as well-rounded as it gets for a DE. He eats a lot of bodies and is great against the run. Those don’t always have ways of showing up in the stats that can be quantified but the film doesn’t lie
He’s also a good dude and well liked. It would be hard to see voters excluding him for long
Put him on a franchise like the Pats or the Steelers and he’d be viewed by more as closer to a lock

Sacks will start to become like modern day WRs and receiving stats. I would say he has a shot but it will take a while

Kind of a no doubter, and I don't even like the guy.

In his prime he never came off the field. Dude could rush the passer and was excellent against the run. I think he’s probably HOF worthy. Durable as hell too. His consecutive starts was killed by fricking covid with zero symptoms but mandatory testing at the time.

Different conversation completely had the no-call been called.

He knocks down a ton of passes as well as being stout against the run and elite pass rusher for much of his career.

He's a very very very easy Hall of Famer. Anyone who disagrees can eat dicks.

Easily yes. Better career than his dad and I believe his Dad made the HOF.

I lean Hall of Very Good but there’s a HOF case to be made. I wouldn’t be mad if he got in

HOF voting is not perfect, and there’s a bit of politics involved in it. However for the most part the committee does a good job at looking deeper than just stats & in the case of a d-lineman beyond just sacks specifically.
But sack stats alone he’s at #18 all time! Are all 17 ahead of him in HOF? What about the next few 19-25?
Cam was never one that you heard commentators say in their discussions with o-coordinators they game planned around him all week. He wasn’t quite that take over the game kind of guy, or at least was not viewed as such because he’s not the quick twitch bend & beat you with speed DE/OLB like most elite sack leaders are. For as much physical ability he has, he always lacked that elite burst, and that’s part of what makes his career even more impressive.
Consistency is his best attribute!
Consistency & discipline to his craft to be a great against the run, both in tackles & setting the edge to turn the RB inside for the LB to get tackles.
Consistency to find inconsistent ways to beat the OL to the QB. He’d go bull rush, occasional speed rush outside, great swim move, good spin move, violent hand fighting, precision timing on his pushes on OL while they’re in step to knock them off balance, and a non-stop motor to keep pursuing the QB on the play after not winning immediately. Some of his sacks came sort of from coverage sacks, thats not a knock but rather a testament to his never quit mentality.
Then you go to how many batted balls he’s had at the line, I’m not sure if that’s a tracked stat or how far back that stat might go to compare against NFL history but that’s just another component to Cam’s game that couldn’t be taught & made him well rounded.
In game/play instincts, as well as film preparation is another thing he’s good at.
Then you also have to factor his health and Ironman career! Thats absolutely elite! And the damn Covid game he had to miss still pisses me off cutting his active streak short
