I’m a 3x Trump voter and supporter but I’m ashamed at this peace deal.

This is not me choosing sides as both Ukraine and Russia are corrupt as shite but this 28 point peace plan makes the United States look weak. It rewards Putin for invading a country and for intentionally bombing civilian targets over military every single night. I knew Ukraine would have to give up land and to end this war thats fine but in the process it limits their military size and the weapons they are allowed to to have while Russia and Putin get rewarded for starting a war. I wish dumbfrick Biden would have kept us out of the entire situation and let that be Europe’s problem but now that we are in it we will look weak as hell and Russia will call it a victory not over Ukraine, but over the United States. That is unacceptable to me. For the first time I am truly ashamed of Trump for bending over to Putin and rewarding him for his tyranny.

The alternative is going to war with Russia. Would you prefer that?

You don’t get better deals as time goes on. Zelensky should have worked harder on peace over pride.

Let's not forget:

The US Govt has dirty hands for installing an idiot in power in UKR a la Nuland.

UKR had several biolabs - which were US funded - with the capability to do harm to Russia

UKR had US munitions also with the capability to do harm to Russia

UKR wanting to join NATO which is an affront to Russia

UKR has had several opportunities to realize they aren't Russia and concede a bit of defeat for the greater good of the country. They chose not to.

So why are you crying?

Perhaps NATO should have honored the promises made to Russia decades ago then.

OP, please answer this question. I'm curious to your stance. We aren't Ukraine's bodyguard or the world police. Russia invading Ukraine shouldn't mean we risk blood or treasure for it - not unless the entire rest of the world is willing to.

Russia is the only free country left in the world that hasn’t been destroyed by forced immigration and Ukraine is a proxy for Israel

This "Trump Plan" is largely a starting point for final negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.

As a "starting point," it is wildly pro-Russia. If the US is to be an honest broker, its "starting point" should have been more neutral ... allowing each party more room to compromise. Instead, Trump's "starting point" gives Russia 95% of what it wants and provides essentially nothing to Ukraine other than a stop to the fighting.

ETA for the downvoters.

Please outline what you think Ukraine gains from this plan, other than a stop to the fighting.

They are forced to limit the size of their military. They are limited as to what weapons they can possess. They cannot join a defensive alliance. They cannot allow the troops of their allies to have bases on their soil.

This proposal is simply a plan for Ukraine to spread its legs and wait for Russia to build its reserves and come back for sloppy seconds in a few years.

I’m totally mind blown and amazed at how easy it was for the media to get Americans to care so much about what goes on in Ukraine and Gaza!

Well, we DID tell Ukraine that we would fulfill that role, back when they agreed to surrender their nukes.

No sane country will accept our assurances now, which is decidedly NOT a good thing for the US position in the world.

The alternative is more of the same.

Back Ukraine and Europe. Aid Ukraine with intel. Hurt Russia with sanctions. Bleed Russia.

No boots on the ground, no air power, etc.

It ends the fighting between Russia and Ukraine. Both countries have to agree to the terms. If Ukraine thinks it’s a bad deal, they don’t have to sign. Same for Russia.

The US applauds the two countries for accepting the peace deal.

I don’t see how the US looks weak.

I am surprised that you are the sort of simpleton who thinks that every good Republican must agree with Trump on every issue.

You seem brighter than that, otherwise.

To go from “I’ll end it in a day” to whatever this weak arse bullshite is….well, queue the “I voted for this!” chorus.

Appreciate your candor….independent thought is being lost these days.
