Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser concerned 'Operation Swamp Sweep' could negatively impact tourism

Nungesser, a Republican, shared his apprehensions during an exclusive interview with News 15, stating that the effort may negatively impact the state's tourism and economy.
"Anything that hurts our tourism industry is not good," Nungesser said. "I'm all for getting the criminals, illegal criminals out of this country, but these attacks on the city, I'm concerned it's gonna have a negative effect on the tourism industry."
Nungesser's remarks came ahead of his keynote address at the Acadiana Republican Women's meeting in Lafayette. His stance appears to contrast with Gov. Jeff Landry, who has expressed support for the presence of ICE agents and has no concerns about the initiative.
The immigration enforcement plan, known as "Operation Swamp Sweep," is set to roll out in New Orleans.

What Gov Landry SHOULD do is respond back with “Fine, Billy. Then I’m reinstating the Mid-Barataria Diversion Project”… which shouldn’t have been canceled in the first place.

So he thinks cleaning up the city of criminal illegal aliens is going to make the city more dangerous and less suitable for tourism?
I can’t think of any way that removing criminals from society makes society less desirable.
