I sincerely hope LSU brass is aware of public perception if Drinkwitz is hired, and what would result in a massive backlash with opposing outcry from a large portion of the LSU fan base.

A&M fans fought against the potential hiring of Stoops- and boosters vetoed the hire. Tennessee fans fought against the potential hiring of Schiano- and school admin rescinded the job offer. LSU fans that reject Drink will fight the same battle if necessary.

There’s just no way you pull the trigger on Kelly when you did to hire Drinkwitz. Just no fricking way.

It’s not my choice for HC & I don’t see it being him, but there are far worse names thrown out there.

What he’s done @ MIZZOU is impressive & it’s obvious he hires great coaches. If you can’t understand the ceiling @ MIZZOU compared to every other school not named KY, VANDY, & STATE, I’m not sure what to tell you.

He’s 0-15 since 2020 against SEC teams that finish with a winning record and 5-17 against ranked opponents. How is that an upgrade from Kelly?

Except the idiots running LSU will go through with the Drink hire.

People said the same thing about hiring Orgeron when Miles was fired

This is stupid.

If Drink is the next coach, he’ll be more successful here than Kelly was. He’s capped out Mizzou’s program.

Mizzou has a much higher ceiling than Kentucky, vandy and state.

That's when an AD who has balls says to the chattering masses, " who the frick are any of you to tell me what to do and whom to hire, you are just part of the chattering class, you don't do this for a living, you really don't know what we are looking at, you think you do, but you really don't. So if it's all the same STFU, we made an offer to this guy and the money people enthusiastically were on board......go back to the game room and play Madden."

He would be a terrible choice and dim what little interest I still have in LSU football.

People seem to forget that Gary Pinkel had Mizzou in the sec champ game 2 years in a row when they joined the sec.

He also had a top 5 finish in 2007. It’s possible to win there, Drink just can’t do it bc he isn’t that great of a coach.

Is the ceiling as high as other schools? No. But if Drink were that great of a coach he would be doing more, esp against top teams. His best win this season is on the road against a shitty auburn team.

Maybe when they get curb stomped this weekend by Oklahoma people will realize it.
