What was the moment that killed Arkansas football?
Arkansas leaving the SWC for SEC. The moment was the same moment that killed the future Big 12. Arkansas to the B12 would have changed history
The Longwhorn killed Arkansas when they ran them off (and like the vampires they are have never stopped and have a long line of schools they try to kill)
The SWC was too state of Texas centric. But this was historically what allowed Arkansas to become a national power in the first place. Being the special out of state school tied to the Texas HS football pipeline and state of Texas universities created the Arkansas historical success
UT destroyed the SWC. Arkansas jumps ship for SEC. SMU death penalty era. Lucky moment in time for Baylor where they controlled key parts of the Texas government with Baylor alum Ann Richards as governor. This allowed Baylor to be forced into the B12.
But…..
Swap Baylor for Arkansas. This makes the B12 more balanced. One more school that hates Texas and could fight for better leadership and accountability, instead of a Texas lackey in Baylor. It benefits Texas Tech and Texas A&M as it allows for one fewer mouth to feed among Texas high school recruits among in-state programs. Arkansas maintains a recruiting pipeline and identity while also keeping their traditional rivals. Better leadership keeps Nebraska and A&M from leaving for B10 and SEC (as well as CU and Mizzou). The B12 could have either maintained or been one to add teams in conference realignment

No. There should be an annual game with as many teams playing each other as possible. They’re only good at the top. But need to be tested and exposed like Oregon was today.
Ohio St is the best run program in America. Period. In a class of their own
They have a handful of decent teams each year. The rest of the conference is terrible. They had losses to Boston College, Wake Forest, Duke, Oklahoma State, and Mississippi State today. A near loss to Utah state by a ranked Washington and maybe a ranked Iowa loss to Iowa States first year head coach. These are some of the worst P4 programs they’re losing to.

Sloan isn’t doing anything he’s not told to do. Stein is the guy running everything on offense

We are screwed. Circle the wagons and come back next year with something new.
Elko is still the guy. Defense will be good. But this is the worst aggie offense since we were in the b12

Yep. Cruz, Abbott, Patrick, Cornyn etc have done serious harm to Texas. Republicans can’t get rid of them and we’re tired of it. Too many reasons to name. From pushing school vouchers that have decimated the Texas public education system. To being the nations leader in H1B visas stealing jobs from Americans. Pushing hard for a total surveillance state. Violating free speech rights for criticizing certain countries. Shoving the data centers down our throats. They are slaves to whatever the corporate interests groups want. Etc
They are fake conservatives. All of them

Arkansad fans are the biggest lsu dickriders on planet earth. What a sad school that the loser aggies feel sorry for you. At least we’re trying, y’all gave up. Can’t wait for the bye week when the hogs come to town. At least State and Kentucky have a pulse. Say goodnight to your cousin for me, we know she’s laying right there next to you

Shhhh
Let them win their superbowl next weekend and crown themselves
It will make it sweeter when we come in town the week after and make their fans leave at halftime

Same. Stein will have an elite offense up and running at Kentucky at some point
Kentucky is a sleeping giant. Similar to an Indiana where a good coach and the portal can equal success. If Stein just has a bit of success, they will bring in respectable high school classes as well
The bar is low, so he has time. The key to leveling the playing field against teams with superior talent is having a good offense. They have a good QB already. Gonna be fun to watch them

re: This is the best summation of the current SEC vs LSU situation posted yet.

The two LSU players were farther along in their NFL process than any of the other players. That’s why they were singled out. It wasn’t random. They signed contracts with NFL teams.
Yes, the rules are murky. But the SEC is trying to at least do something about it. The NCAA and congress are too incompetent
The real problem is the weaponization of the legal system in a deliberate attempt to undermine the SEC. Governor Elmer Fudd, Kiffin, Judges, AG, AD and all the other clowns preventing the SEC from being an authoritative institution. Refusing to back down
Enough was enough. We’re using this incident to make sure that the SEC has death penalty power over all 16 schools and none of them can go rogue. LSU won’t be kicked out. But your clown coach and governor will get on their knees and beg before this is over
