Got called to the courtroom for the first case FML. Hopefully they either settle or hate me as a juror. Last time this happened I ended up on a 5 day rape trial

Id criminal, just base your decision off of emotion and remember, they probably put that on him or her. If civil, give the plaintiff 100,000,000.00.

don't know why everyone feels that way, I enjoyed my time on the jury(foreman ) it was interesting, no big imposition, and it is, after all, your civic duty

Please don't resort to sexual violence to avoid jury duty. There are other more moral ways to get out of it.

Because people love to bitch and moan about “broken systems” and then screech at the idea that they might bear some responsibility for fixing said system. They would much rather keep the system in their thoughts and prayers

I have only one jury duty experience but, while I got dismissed, it further eroded my belief in our judicial system. They clearly dismissed all of the more intelligent members of the group. During the breaks the doctors, business owners, upper management all naturally cliqued up and chatted. The others tended to be people with low skill jobs and such. It was clear to see the lawyers went after the people they deemed easier to sway

Tell counsel you’re posting about it on an Internet forum and they’ll probably strike you

The best way to get sent home is to post to us a play by play of the case.
