OM claims they didn’t release it. If true the OM admin has to be super pissed.

They have no leverage. OM admin can get pissed all they want.

Sexton is a mad scientist in playing schools.

I think this may be the most logical thing I’ve read today.
Of course Sexton is leaking info that makes potential suitors ears perk up.

It's not really that difficult. There is a limited supply of top tier coaches every year. He represents pretty much all of them.
It's just a situation where he owns the supply in a limited market.

If other schools can verify this, you might just set your own ultimatum to Sexton.
In the end, Kiffin has to make a decision and the games stop. If it turns him off, he wasn’t coming anyway.

He and Trace Armstrong…
Moscona actually had a decent point about how BK and Joe Brady are both repped by Armstrong, so it’s difficult to fight LSU on BK and (potentially) try to work with LSU on Brady or any other coach he represents as long as the BK buyout is unresolved.

Sure, but perhaps they could have not given him an ultimatum, lol

hes an idiot. all of these guys are repped by sexton or armstrong - there's naturally a hundred conflict of interests. if lsu wants brady, and brady wants lsu, there is nothing trace armstrong is going to do or say that will stop that from happening. he gets paid if brady were to sign a big deal.

Leaked or made up?
Ole Miss should just be riding out the Kiffin success and them giving their best coach in the last 50 years an ultimatum is crazy.
Who cares if he is leaving? Just enjoy the ride.

That’s the key question

And it could have also been nothing more than Keith Carter saying "Hey Lane, it'd be really nice to have something settled by the Egg Bowl."
And now all of a sudden it's a "OLE MISS HAS GIVEN LANE AN ULTIMATUM".

Pretty good analysis. Ole Miss has the best coach they’ve had in 50 years in house. LSU and Florida have had it rough the last few years, but at least they’ve proven they can have some success with different coaches. At Ole Miss, Lane is the only show in town.

Everyone knows these agents are slick and will turn anything and everything in favor of their clients.

Yep. And OM was trying to be sneaky and get a deal done mid-season while prospects maybe assumed they had until after the playoffs before hard negotiations. Sexton gave the green light.

Verify what, the statement is they didn't release it, not that there was no ultimatum. Also, I think that was "insider info," so it may be complete BS as well.

Well, their suicidal ultimatum was dumb to begin with.

If they are heading into the playoff and NSD, do they want the Florida/LSU coach in their football building?
It’s easy to say “Yes, he’s the best they ever had!” but this is Lane Kiffin we’re talking about. He has an actual track record of fricking over a current employer during the playoff.
Plus if he leaves, they have to jump in this market for a new coach with these other schools. They’d rather get that squared away sooner instead of later in December when the candidate they want is hired away.
