Where you been? I've known this since Friday

From what I'm reading, the timeline is shitty AF. Could take past the end of 2025 before YTTV gets authentication rights on the ESPN app and the YTTV app integration may not be available until the end of 2026.
Apparently there are severe technical issues with the new ESPN app that they are struggling to work around.

Does that mean YTTV subscription price increases?

What does ESPN Unlimited offer other than what was already on YTTV? Women's soccer? Yay.

It means events broadcast on ESPN Unlimited channels, including NFL and NBA games, will eventually be available to watch right inside the YouTube TV app. Those channels include ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN U, ESPN News, and ESPN+.
Yeah. No shite i can watch ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPNU and ESPNews on YTTV. I don't need an app within an app to see that, nor am i getting some extra perk by having something i had before.
Now the ESPN+ part is what i'm interested in. But they did not elaborate on what that looks like. It would be nice to be able to watch LSU baseball games in multiview on YTTV.

I’ve never heard this phrase in my life.
The first thing to pop in my head was how weird it is to use a cat in the phrase. Seems like there should be something more relatable to those of us who read it. Otherwise we’re left to wonder why a cat’s arse is something you thought about in a response to viewing entertainment content.

You don’t need an app within an app to see it YET

Fubo already has this. Already has a $55 sports and news only plan too. The $30 ESPN Unlimited solo plan is compelling if you have YTTV just for sports, but then can't do multiview on NCAAF gamedays with games on non-ESPN networks, although admittedly that's very few.

Their app has always sucked. I remember watching the early iteration of it on my Xbox 360 with very fast Charter internet, and the buffering and constant crashing made it unwatchable.
I can't believe it still hasn't improved in over a decade. ESPN seems to employ the bottom of the barrel for every facet of their company.

I assume this means I can watch Auburn-Bethune Cookman baseball or some other obscure ESPN+/SEC+/etc. thing directly via YTTV without having to go to the ESPN app?
Because the "Unlimited" part - ie, the networks, wouldn't make much sense as an addition.

Correct but from my understanding it's not gonna be fully implemented until the end of 2026.

My grandfather and great uncles used it often. These were men born in the early 1920’s and before. I have no idea where it came from other than a possible bastardization of “faster than a cat can lick its arse.” Have you heard that one?

The ESPN app is AWFUL compared to YTTV. I mean awful.

Yttv will also be first to roll out the reboot of nbc sports channel.
I actually watched an nba game on there last night. Funny thing was the channel was listed on my pc but not on my tv

What a surprise. Their UI is absolute dumpster piss.

It’s bullshite that the ESPN app doesn’t allow access to the rare 4K ESPN college football games that are broadcast. (It’s usually only 1 4K game every 1-2 weeks or so for espn ) . It’s not worth the $9.99/ month charge to access these through yttv or other carriers vs directly via espn app
In contrast, Fox sports app does allow access to their 4K streams and they usually have 3-4 per week
