I simply ask you this.

What is LSU’s record with him this year?

The talent that Kiff would roll in at LSU would be awesome. I mean just look what he has done to Chambliss.

LSU is a top 5 job in the country. Where does Ole Miss and Florida rank to that?

If Kiff wants to ever have a chance to become legendary and make his mark in CFB this is his opportunity.

GEAUX TIGERS!!!

My question to those that do want him - what makes you think he's going to consistently win the big games here when he hasn't demonstrated that he can win the big games there?

That's kind of my thing with him. Last year was their "all in" year and they failed.

If he was getting a normal/reasonable contract? Sure. Fine

But he's going to get an insane contract that will be extremely hard to get out of anytime soon. If he's not title-worthy pretty quickly, what did we gain with the costly BK-Kiffin trade?

This is just a bad year to go big game hunting for a title-worthy coach.

I don't want Kiffin be cause A) I think he's playing LSU to leave our program in a really bad position so he can try to get a few more wins against us before he leaves for Bama. And B) I think in 2 years, or pretty much any year UT, UGA, or Bama opens up, he'll just troll LSU about leaving to get more money.

I just don’t see that at this stage of his career. He is different now. The comments he has made about fans, size of stadium, etc seems to make me believe he is ready to move on and challenge himself.

Don’t kid yourself. Ole Miss is defintely the “lower tier” of SEC programs.

I truly feel he takes the LSU job.

I'll just say this, Coach O couldn't win at Ole Miss but he put together the greatest team in the history of college football at LSU.

Kiffin had the best talent money could buy last season. He had Dart as his QB. Kiffin is overrated and gets fired at every stop.

This^
I wish I could sell some 10 million dollar residential lots in LaPlace or Chackbay to the idiots who support this guy and are willing to throw money down the toilet on things that are not worth it.....Kiffin has landed many, many big jobs and done NOTHING at any of them.

the big game paradox is hilarious. Coach wins big games, that creates more big games for his team.
Beating LSU, Florida, OU, UGA last year, those are big games

He had some great pieces but not the depth to win it all. His roster was still ranked in the 20’s. It was as not the best by a long shot.

OM will never have a roster with the talent of GA, Ohio St, Bama, TX, LSU. It’s always stuck in the 20’s.

This century, the only team to win a natty with a roster ranked outside the Top 10 was Michigan at 14.

Give him a Top 10 roster and he could get over the hump.

What other coach has taken a team with less and won as many games since he’s been at OM?

Kiffin has won 71% at FAU and Ole Miss. LSU at worst would at least be in the hunt for a playoff spot.

It's no longer that much harder to win at OM than it is here. The roster talent is pretty comparable in the NIL era.

He's proven at multiple different stops at programs with vast resources that he's not a winner. I'd rather get someone unproven than someone we know is a loser. The boards infatuation with him makes no sense. Even Heupel beats him in every metric

Yes it is

Because BK refused to use the portal

He’s about to get Ole Miss into the playoff. And not sneak in

What has Heupel won that Lane hasn’t?

He’s just not coached enough games to rack up as many L’s.

It’s incredible how retarded some of you are. There’s one guy is the last 40 years of the game that you idiots would deem an acceptable resume

That’s a valiant effort bubba but Kiffin has had a long career already. With stops at the premier blue bloods in the country all along the way. If he could do it he woulda done did it already baw. He’s a good coach in a relatively weak (compared to the normal of the last 25 years) SEC right now.

Wouldn’t be the worst hire, but he’s not really a guru or anything.

Yea that's the problem. Way too much looking in the rear view for resumes. We gotta start being forward looking. Go get a coordinator like Hartline, Stein, or Klein and adopt the NFL model. It's working in the league, it'll work here too. Now the odds of all three of those guys being hits are slim, but one of them will likely be the next big thing. The AD gets paid to figure out which one is right in the interview process. Kiffin is a lazy hire to win the press conference but will keep us in 9-10 win purgatory for years. We've won NCs before. Time to take a risk for a dynasty rather than playing it safe and hoping to make the playoffs once every 3 years

You want a coach that focuses on your team , not a coach play every P4 opening to benefit himself.
