So, I watched this the other day. Didn't go see it in the theater, so it was first time for me.

My impressions, it was okay. Fun enough movie to pass some time, but not really anything great.

I get the complaints about the Silver Surfer being female, but they also used that to add wrinkles into the storyline. That was basically Johnny's only character-building, the fact that he found her attractive and interesting (his research into her language etc). I guess that pays off in the end, dealing with Galactus.
I liked what they did with Ben.

Production design was the best I’ve seen in a while. The FX were mediocre. Pascal was terribly miscast as Reed Richards, IMO. Enjoyed it overall.

I thought it was ok too.
Best parts was them having their own Earth & not having an origin story.

I didn’t hate it. Better than the latest marvel offerings. Worth a watch on D+, I would not have paid to watch in a theater though.

I thought the 50s aesthetics were awesome. However, I thought it was pretty boring overall. The actors were flat as could be.

Man was this an average movie. Very minimal plot.

Galactus was basically on earth for less than 10
Minutes and was very easily defeated.

I thought it was less than mediocre. Pedro wasn't right for that role.

So their house is attached to their spaceship launching pad? Both of which are in the middles of the city? Really love the 1965 style.

The 1960's mid-mod retro-futurism set designs were pretty cool.

Lots of stuff thrown in for people who are familiar with the older comic books.

I agree on the casting; Herbie the robot may have given the most charismatic acting performance.

I liked that they showed a little of Ben in his old neighborhood around Yancy Street.

It was okay. Pretty boring for the most part. Acting was meh across the board. Galactus was super easy to beat. I think they miscast everyone generally speaking.

I thought it was pretty decent but maybe that is because the bar has been set so low for Marvel. Pedro was terrible and miscast. Sue Storm was the most powerful and the plot revolved around her; no surprise there. What was the point of Natasha Leon and Mole Man? Despite those two wastes of time, the movie had pretty good pacing and didn't lose the very simple plot. I actually paid attention about 3/4's of the movie. Galactus was very cool.

In the comics they use to launch spacecraft from the building itself. The Baxter Building was quickly surrounded by low-income housing.

I thought the movie sucked. Thunderbolts* was way, way better. There was almost no plot development, no really cool hell yeah type scenes. Galactus looked fricking goofy. Pedro was downright awful. Hopefully Doomsday rights the ship but I think it's gonna be a disaster.

It was blah…I didn’t hate it

I get why no origin story but similar to Superman it’s tough to care about the current iteration of characters because you’re not really invested in them yet.

Another MCU villain that gets such little screen time and is ultimately sort of wasted.

I really liked the retro futuristic aesthetic.

The movie itself was kind of meh.

I'm tired of seeing Pascal in everything. The lady playing Susan Storm wasn't a great choice either.

Is this the one where the Silver Surfer is a chik?

Yes

I thought it was meh and borderline blasphemous if you really wanted to make it into that honestly. Pretty easy parallel to Jesus giving up his life for the world and them refusing to do so.

Yes, just like in some of the comics.
