I’m sure the OT will criticize the TrumpRx making a deal to lower cost of GLP1s.

Lowering cost of GLP1s

quote:

The Trump administration announced deals on Thursday with pharmaceutical giants Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly that would lower the cost of GLP-1 drugs for many Americans, including those on Medicare.

The administration negotiated how much both the government and consumers would pay for the drugs, which are used to treat obesity and diabetes as well as other cardiometabolic conditions.

I am all for this. This will be a huge help to are health issues with weight.

Confusing our/are is inexcusable. Do better.

ETA: And you even edited the post, which means you missed it at least twice.

Inexcusable is correct. But I stand with the use of GLP1s- to help with major health issues. I’m sure some on here will state eat a salad and exercise blah, blah, blah.

I have no issue whatsoever with him negotiating better prices; I just think a sitting president creating a self-involved "public-private partnership" is a problem and naming it after themselves is fricking gross.

This would in fact make someone more healthy than a fatty doing nothing different but consuming glp1s

I've had the opinion for a while that fatties should be on a forced GLP-1 regimen. If your BMI is above a certain number and you don't have evidence of some sort of resistance training program, you're getting the shot.

its insane some won't support it.

Getting people to lose weight cheaply is a MASSIVE deal. Top 2 reasons people don't lose weight is cost and effort. Losing weight on these drugs requires little effort, and now it reduces cost.

Us taxpayers and insurance premium payers are all on the hook for fat, unhealthy folks whether you like it or not.

BTW> that Mingo dude may jump off a bridge after this announcement

I didn't vote for additional subsidies. Especially for people who cannot control their appetite.

Stop eating fatty stuff and things with no nutritional value.

Eat more lean meat and green vegetables. Get more exercise.

Stop asking the taxpayers to subsidize you.

Nobody will do any resistance training so they will be skinny fat. It will make those of us with #GAINZ even more noticeable.

You mean the normal thing to do? Eat right and exercise? The horror of someone daring to suggest such.

You realize you’re paying for ER and Hospitalization Stays because of cardiac events associated with obesity issues?

Wake up…it is cheaper and beneficial to offer these medications to those who struggle with weight. Because what we are doing right now is not working. We are paying high premiums because of it.

Losing weight is beneficial (GLP1s) for T2D, Chronic Kidney Disease, Sleep Apnea, established cardiovascular disease, blood pressure, and etc.
