Anyone seeing anything?

Was at our property in Terrebonne Parish last weekend building blinds. Not much to speak of. East winds in in october and high tides killed about 80% of the grass we had.

Outlook for the season is not promising for me.

Fished venice Thursday - Sunday in pass a loutre, south pass, east bay area all weekend. Saw less than 100 ducks. Grass has mostly died now that river is low and salt water has killed it. Dont know what it looks like up towards baptiste and delta duck.

We hunt on the west side in Venice and my partner said we have a good number of pintails and some teal. No grey ducks yet.

Poor ducks probably already sitting on the refuge. If not, the 1million GTRs will be there the 14 to run them to the no hunting area.

Trout finally move in? Got a good report from last weekend on off Dennis.

Terrebonne Parish Sat saw 15/20 BWT. No bog ducks. Did hear there's some birds on the coast, but I haven't seen that.

Going to be squealers, teal, and ring necks or bust for us. Hopefully the squealers stuck around, they were thick during teal season. Vermilion Parish

Hunted Missouri's North Zone this weekend. Worst opening weekend that we've had in years.

its across the board. Heard the same from Alberta, Colorado, and the texas opener this weekend. Not sure when they are going to admit the numbers don't exist. Oh wait, lets raise the pintail limits.

I’ve heard of some good reports south of us - along the coast. Grays and Teal. But not much in the freshwater yet.

Was at our lease in Chauvin this past weekend.
Paldeux moved in, had teals and some grays.
Our grass looked to be in good shape still.

I hope so, but it’s hard to tell with Arkansas and parts of Missouri not even open yet.

South Zone in Texas opened this past weekend. We hunted the marsh South of Anahuac. It was actually pretty good Saturday morning. Ended up with 28 between 6 shooters. Mostly teal with a few greys and the Mottleds were thick. However you can’t shoot those for the first 5 days of an opener and they obviously read that regulation. Sunday was dead even though conditions were perfect. Birds probably moved to North zone stuff or East to Louisiana. Even the Mottleds left. What else is odd is that we saw no whistlers and they were obscene during teal season.
