He appears to be in the same boat as Kiffin. He’s in a much better spot than any of the schools with coaching vacancies. A few extra plays go his way and he’s in the CFP hunt. Still is for now if he can finish with 2 losses.

Drink would absolutely come to LSU or Florida if offered the right amount of money, which apparently is not a problem for LSU. Problem for Drink is I don’t know if he’s the right man to throw $10+ million a year at for LSU. I think he would be a great fit at Florida, though. Massive upgrade for yall.

You Florida mother frickers say this about every coach there is, I can't wait until it's made public that the gators hired yet another directionless dogshit coach.

Do none of you have any ambition or drive in your lives? Those saying why leave a cushy job for something better. Sure, expectations are higher but the chance for greatness is too. There are some people in this world who don’t just look for the path of least resistance.

Because Missouri has a pretty set ceiling, and that ceiling isn’t very high.

9 game schedule is going to hurt Drink.

He’s played some soft schedules the last couple years.

Drink is the worst possible fit for Florida.

Why would anyone want Drink as a coach? Highly mediocre and no real vig wins on his resume

We don’t want/need Drinkwitz at LSU. Let him stay at Missouri. No thanks. This guy would be my 10th choice and he’s your first??

I think Silverfield is one of the top choices you could get....realistically. if he wins out he's tops on EVERYONE'S list. 30+ wins in 3 years . Close to 50+ wins in 6 years at Memphis.

Schools with more invested will pay his assistants more. It is one of the not so often mentioned benefits of big time programs.

Biggest reason would be recruiting pool and NIL resources. Mizzou seems to get their best players poached by bigger programs frequently.

Mizzou people really don't care about football that much up here. I live in KC and am amazed there aren't more fans of football. They are pretty apathetic when it comes to the SEC.

From Missouri?
Nice place but not a final dream destination for a coach. Far from it.

Missouri is not even on the same planet as Ole Miss. Florida would be a massive upgrade in itself.

Drink has been one real quarterback away from beating big boys: Bazelak, Cook, Drew Pyne, Pribula. Some good, most not.

For the most part he's won the games he should have and has come up just short against those he's not quite up to due to being too one dimensional. Otherwise his running game and OL have been top shelf while his defenses have been getting progressively better. They're gritty and play an SEC style of football. Plus he's one of the best recruiters in the country and knows how to connect with today's athletes.

If he leaves it should be to Penn State. Perfect situation and fit for him other than being up noeth.
