Had his qb, Mensah, not gone to Duke, he’s likely undefeated right now. At worst, one loss.

Why is this relative? I think it shows his ability to evaluate/recruit talent. I think this is a key quality a coach needs in this nil and portal era.

He very well could be a coach, 4 years from now, you say, we could have got that guy and didn’t. Boy did we screw up.

Hugh freeze was proven, Kelly was proven, Franklin proven, etc you have the same shot at success. Not every coach from a small school is Billy Napier. Some are Jim tressell or Cignetti. Kirby smart is not Mike Archer. You can go on and on.

I think Auburn should hire him. That would be a good fit

He could also be fired in 4 years because he's overrated this cycle and isn't what we need

His defense gave up 31 points to UTSA in a single half with the playoffs in view and big jobs with their eyes on the game Thursday. An egg was laid. Mensah does not play defense.

Hard pass

We heard the exact same thing when we didn’t hire Napier . Damn glad we didn’t screw that up

Honestly, sick of hearing about Sumrall. Auburn would be better for him.

It was clear to see that Napier was going to flop. Napier was in over his head from the minute he was hired.

It was less clear( to me anyway )that Kelly would just quit caring and really only took the LSU job to get his golden parachute. I thought that Kelly came here to win a championship, but it was pretty obvious that he wasn’t prepared to put in the work. He fooled me as well as a lot of people in that regard.

We made an SEC championship and had a heisman winner. Kelly was a lot more successful than Napier. Ended similarly, but the journey was not the same.

Tulane fans don’t have to guide LSU away from wanting to poach Sumrall from us anymore

Sumrall did a great job of that himself getting fricked by a 3-4 team while in the national spotlight

He’s got a pretty good qb as it is. Defense is trash, dumbass take.
