Rod Walker of NOLA.com the article might be paywalled for some but he states in his article how Pelicans & Saints fans are frustrated, Players are frustrated and as of right now management is just sitting on their hands. Brought up bag heads sighted at Sofi stadium yesterday.

Rod Walker: Saints, Pelicans' performances on Sunday should be an eye-opener for Gayle Benson

quote:

Gayle Benson didn’t already know how bad her two professional franchises are, an embarrassing four-hour window on Sunday afternoon should've made it loud and clear.

quote:

The paper bags are making a comeback. Some were spotted at SoFi Stadium Sunday for the Saints’ debacle against the Rams. There will likely be plenty more when the Saints return to the Superdome in a few weeks. Heck, there may be some in the Smoothie King Center, too.

quote:

Sunday showed that neither team is even close. Players are frustrated. Fans are frustrated. Mrs. Benson should be, too.

Rod was a Rattler fanboy in the media…….so forgive me if I take this with a grain of salt.

Yes it’s rough for the Saints right now…….but EVERY ONE OF YOU wanted a fricking rebuild. That’s all we fricking heard the last couple of years…….well, this is what it looks like. Maybe now you will understand why the Saints never wanted to do that.

This fanbase is retarded lol

She should feel the heat a bit more.

She’s seemingly a nice lady with a generous streak, but there are no shortage of those types of people who would be absolutely terrible professional sports owners.

Sell the damn teams for the good of everyone and then use those billions for whatever shite you want to.

Very much disagree, rebuilding teams dont trade draft picks for 5th on the depth chart receivers

Rebuilding teams dont take 26 year old qbs in the 2nd round

Rebuilding teams don't let their aging player's contracts expire without recouping value

If this team thinks they are rebuilding, its just one more thing they suck at

She’s starting to lose her grip on the New Orleans media.

Most of the talking heads locally have been hesitant to go after her, but that’s starting to fall.

Rebuilding teams do all of this all the time. They’re just bad at rebuilding.

I don’t think the rebuild is the issue. I think it’s more that she seems to put aging made men into positions of damn near complete invulnerability overseeing these rebuilds.

Made men who have shown to have very little long term vision either at their current clubs or previous ones.

She just seems to value personal familiarity and cordiality over results and that’s frustrating as shite as a fan.

I think Gayle deserves some heat but more so because of the lack of accountability for Loomis (and Dumars)

Unfortunately, she’s so out of her depth and is so dependent on Loomis that idk if she’ll ever get rid of him

Don’t forget to add in signing cooks and Reid. A rebuilding team doesn’t make moves like that. Mickey thought we’d be competing.

It’s why he has to go. He can’t see past the disaster he created. He has no vision for a future. His legacy is getting shite on since he hired Allen and he needs to retire.

You are correct. But we are not sitting at a bar or around a fire discussing our favorite sporting teams.

We're in a site driven by clicks not outcome or logic.

The same posters who screamed and railed for a rebuild are here now screaming about the product. Find your fun here just don't expect anything else and it won't disappoint.

You were still asking for it retard. Well, it’s here. I agree with you that it should have happened before now…….but everyone that wants Gayle gone are going to be in for a rude awakening if she sells the team……and they get moved

I think we can agree on that. This past draft class looks pretty good, but I am definitely not a fan of Loomis either

New Orleans sports is a raging fire of ineptitude. I can’t bring myself to even look at the scores anymore.

Right

They are 40-46 over the last five seasons. Haven’t made the playoffs since 2020.

tHiS iS wHaT yOu WaNtEd.

You cant “rebuild” from a team that was good five years ago.

While I don't like pick in the top 5 in the draft, because it usually means your team is not very good. Anyone who was paying attention while the Saints made their decades long run with CSP and Brees knew this day was coming.

Most have never been through this type of team reset. It's painful to watch but has to happen. All the whining and pissing and moaning from the spoiled fans makes it that much worse. Half of a season of the rebuild and most of these people are ready to open a vein.

Yap

And they are still making trades (Vele) that do not line up with a rebuild.

They’ve missed a rebuild window by years, and they have continued to run the team as if they are close to contending. This has been damaging to the ability to have money & resources to rebuild properly.
