May answer the question of why Nick might entertain the idea of taking a position at LSU.

Im sure there are a few idiots who believe there’s something there but most people are just having fun with the Saban noise.

Why is your gay arse over here? Go rejoice in your good start before the November collapse inevitably happens

On3 interview with Saban. Doesn’t sound like he wants back in

“Yeah, maybe you’ve got facilities. Maybe you’ve got money. Maybe you’ve got alumni who are passionate about football, but are they willing to invest what you have to invest now to win? Because a lot of people don’t believe in this shite.”
quote:
To be clear, Saban emphasized (for the umpteenth time) that he’s not against players being paid. It’s the system he thinks is faulty and not good for anybody, and ultimately has a major impact on what jobs are the most attractive. And, no, he hasn’t been tempted to get back into coaching.
quote:
It’s not good for player development. I don’t know that it’s good for anything, just the direction we’re headed,” said Saban, voicing the same concerns his former Michigan State colleague, basketball coach Tom Izzo, did this week about former G League professional players committing to play for college teams.

Do you think Saban is enjoying holding McAfee’s chair and playing second fiddle to a shirtless ringmaster? The words “may” and “might” were appropriate.

I like a good coaching search.

Saban for AD with a big name school is an opportunity for him to work on the NIL “problem”. I’m not sure if he’s interested in dealing with the likes of LSU folk to get it done, though.
As for McAfee, that guy has ruined Gameday for me.

And if anyone knows disappointment, it’s an A&M fan. Maybe you guys should listen to this doofus. He is an expert on the subject.

People won't be disappointed because they realize it's a 1% chance-they are just having fun.
