We need to quit spending 50 million dollars for Head coaches and keep a great well respected Louisiana coach and spend money to get him the best assistant coaches money can buy! Keep Austin Thomas and Sam Pettito and hire 2 new Coordinator’s and a really good Oline and linebackers coach and that will be a hell of a lot less money.

This is a terrible idea. It’s basically the Coach O plan.
You can probably hire the best coaches as coordinators to start. But if they are “the best” then they are gone soon. So you are constantly having to try and find “the best.” Then if something goes wrong the head coach isn’t in a position to fix it because he only relied on his coordinators.

Why? I don't like that model. You are constantly turning over both sides of the ball. Would prefer you spend and have a coach that tends to always excel on one side of the ball.

We don’t necessarily need a Louisiana person, we just need someone that embraces Louisiana. Geaux Tigers, hope we hire the best coach of my lifetime.

And his abysmal HC record. LSU needs a youngish guy who is versatile in the modern game. Lends me to believe Ausberry is staying on as AD or Asst AD and the new HC is already hired and will be AD as well. Interim AD's usually don't hang around to make long term coaching decisions.

I would normally disagree. But that dumb arse Governor has potentially fricked up the whole process and candidate pool. Hire Wilson if no good candidates are interested. To basically run the clock out until Landry is gone because you know he will be meddling the entire time. At least I think we would have a fighting chance because Wilson loves LSU and Louisiana and he would likely be able to navigate the bullshite better than a outsider.
