Yes, thank you Martin Luther for all of the for-profit churches with slimy car salesmen “pastors” much wealthier than their audience, TVs in the church, Starbucks in the vestibule, and saying God, Jesus, or Lord at least twice every sentence in every prayer to where it sounds like a stutter more than a prayer

Reformation Day, celebrated on October 31st, commemorates the beginning of the Protestant Reformation on the day in 1517 when Martin Luther posted his Ninety-five Theses. Luther's document challenged practices of the Catholic Church, particularly the selling of "indulgences," and argued that salvation comes through faith alone, not works. His act is seen as the start of a major movement in Christianity that led to the formation of Protestant churches.

Mate we used to learn of the late great Martin Luther via the felt board in our 2nd grade class. Mrs Streufert would place the lightning bolt above the felt "forest" and would somehow convey the passion of MK crying that he would become a monk if he were delivered from this storm.

Oh look, a Papist edgelord with the false-dichotomy strawman. Paganism and Gnosticism have been around since before Christ and take many forms. What you are describing has zero to do with reforming the corrupt Roman Catholic Church.
And while you’re throwing stones about “profit,” I encourage you to read up on the Vatican. And also indulgences.
To this day Romanists accept money to get people out of the Putgatory Rome created. To collect money.

Yet somehow protestants are the busiest of bodies, working reallllll hard to make sure they tell everyone how bad catholics are so they can justify the existence of their particular flavor of christianity.

One reason you don’t understand it is because it literally doesn’t exist in Biblical Christianity. Faith that is without works is not faith at all. Therefore works are a necessary condition of salvation. They just do not justify us, which is a forensic atonement by Christ.
Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as Righteousness.
So that no man may boast.
I don’t mean this harshly, but I truly believe the only reason Rome’s subjects remain in subjugation and error is: they do not read and actually know what the Gospel is.

Learning about the Protestant “Reformation” is one of the main things that lead me to being Confirmed into the Catholic Church.

Was it the part where you realized that the most important part of any protestant sect is the fact that their legitimacy relies solely on the false premise that the catholics are wrong? That's what got a few people I know.
