Hey all,

Just figured to jump in here and give an update.

I wouldn’t hold too much weight to what GOV. Landry is doing. I am told this is not going to drive anyone away from taking the LSU job.

I’ve asked a couple times to people tied in with the program “if you had to pick who will be coaching LSU in 2026” I was given the same answer all five times. Lane Kiffin … and this wasn’t a guess according to 2 of them.

It is WAY too early to make any concrete predictions but it is overwhelmingly clear… LSU is going to do what they can to get Lane.

They also think his side is very welcoming to this idea as well.

Big news for the guys out there that want kiffin.

That’s some real inside info right there.

Kiffin is staying at Ole Miss and is currently renegotiating a substantial pay raise.

Jon Sumerall is likely going to sign with Florida or Arkansas.

Overthink what? Governor Farmer Fran stepping in it every day instead of focusing on his 49th/50th ranked state?

Just because he wanted the job last time doesn'tmean that he wants it now. Those big egos the people making that decision have can be detrimental sometimes.

Man. Everybody here knows someone on the inside.

The inside might as well not exist with how many outside know about the inside.

I believe it, but what happens if he makes the playoffs and then wins a game? And we are sitting here with no HC....

Won't it be obvious that he is the one? How does he juggle that scenario with his team?

How does LSU just ride with it under a verbal handshake?

so we are going to fire the AD that gave BK a 10/$100M contract with 90% buyout, so we can go hire Lane Kiffin and give him a 10/$130M contract with 90% buyout, b/c that's what he's going to want?

Makes a ton of sense govner.

I mean, we could do MUCH, MUCH worse. I think he's my number 1 choice as a fan.

Tennessee - 53% win percentage
USC - 65% win percentage
Florida Atlantic - 67% win percentage
Ole Miss - 73% win percentage

He's matured and improved every stop he's made.

Thanks for the update, Philly!

Philly actually does have some level of inside knowledge, however.

I am 1000% going to convince myself that all Lane Kiffin talk is pure smoke and bullshite until he puts on a purple visor.

They're making a big mistake if they're putting all their eggs in the Kiffin basket. He's going to leave us at the altar with a bucket of cash just like Lincoln Riley did. Except this time it's going to be in January after all the other coaches are gone.

I really hope you are right, but the way Landry talked yesterday, LSU won't put up the money or the 'guaranteed 10 years" it would take to get Lane.
