Man pops out of closet to surprise ex with flowers and coke, ends up shooting her new BF

Shiateek De-Shean Wilson, 23, told officers that he had been hiding in his ex-girlfriend's daughter's closet after sneaking into the home, drinking, and waiting to "surprise" her with flowers, money, and cocaine.

Deputies say that the victim and his girlfriend had just returned home around 2 a.m. She went upstairs to take a shower and that's when she heard several gunshots, according to arrest paperwork. She told officers she saw Wilson standing in the doorway holding a weapon. The victim, Noel Miller, was found with a gunshot wound in an upstairs bedroom. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Wilson was arrested later Sunday at a friend's house, about a mile away from the shooting scene. Wilson admitted to police he shot Miller, but said it was self-defense, according to the affidavit. He said that Miller pointed a weapon at him first.

Multiple shell casings and bullet defects were found inside the home, according to the affidavit. A weapon was not found during the warrant search.

Wilson has been charged with murder, which is a felony. His bond has been set at $300,000.
