I am told Lanning is target #1. Kiffin is #2.
There's some concern from both about not knowing who their AD will be but even as an Ole Miss fan, I will be a little surprised if it goes beyond those two.

Lanning really doesnt impress me.
Oregon deals are buying the shite out of players and he still cant get it done out there.
When he did make the playoff, he got blown out.
Hes been the coach since what, 2021 ? With the Nike advantage? And hasnt sniffed a title?

I love Lanning and would love that hire. I think he would kill it at LSU. Not sure he would leave Oregon and it would obviously take a shitload of money and an insane contract to get him (same for Kiffin as well). Oregon and Ole Miss would match anything thrown at those guys.

Kiffin has a fat offer from Ole Miss on his desk. That said, he hasn't signed it because I think he was waiting for this. I don't believe Florida was ever a threat for him but LSU is.

Lanning already making $11mil a year plus whatever extra Nike is paying him. Dont see LSU going that route unless he just hates being in Oregon that much.
