I looked and didn't see this posted yet. This should be on everyone's radar. Let's get this baby back home where she belongs.

The child was not allowed to have a phone or social media but still managed to get hold of a tablet where the mother found evidence she was being groomed. She was last seen at the Greyhound station with an adult male. At the very least we can all be aware and keep our eyes open and hopefully this child can come back home.

Why didn’t we get an Amber Alert for her? I got one a few nights ago for a child in the NO area. Hopefully she makes it back home.

Pray they find her safe and back to her family.

The fact that the mother has to go out searching for video in the neighborhood tells you all you need to know about the competence of the local police.

They only use amber alerts for kids that are considered abducted. This girl got on a bus which makes her a “runaway” and not an amber alert.
At least that’s my understanding of how they operate.

She said that following her daughter running away, she found her secret tablet that was left behind, where she made a shocking discovery.
"She did have several social media accounts, I didn't know anything about it, wasn't monitoring because I wasn't aware she had any technology like that at all. From those social media accounts, it seems that she has been groomed for quite some time."
At first I thought the guy must have gotten her the tablet which would mean earlier in person contact and someone in area who may be known to some degree, but if the online grooming was happening for awhile it’s adds back getting tablet on her own and perp being someone out of area and not known by relatives or friends.
Hopefully between bus station possible destinations and getting some data from tablet they can track them down, but unless the bus stop sighting was a misdirect by the guy they need to get pictures and story out along bus routes out of the area.
Prayers sent for her.

It may have happened later anyway, but Judge Parker absolutely destroyed Baker and the Baker ISD with his delays on allowing the ISD to start up on its own a part from the EBR school district.

The mother's story does not add up

The little that we know, what doesn’t add up?

Dear God, protect this girl.

1) she wasnt allowed to have a phone or access social media
2) that she somehow got a tablet and was skilled enough to access the internet often enough to get groomed and arrange to meet a man at s bus stop
Those two things are mutually exclusive

You’re doing it wrong. What’s the reason she wasn’t allowed to have a phone or access social media at that point in her life? She had it. Mom noticed her vulnerability. Mom may have been unsuccessful in educating the daughter enough to overcome what the daughter sought. Mom took the final step of forbidding her to have it, taking away devices she knew of.
Mom (distraught at losing her daughter to the potential threats she feared), accurately states that her daughter was not allowed to have devices or access to social media (anymore). Mom says that because she feels like she did the right thing and believes she’s a good mom.
Spoiler alert: parents cannot maintain 100% control of what their kids do.

Praying for the safe return of that child.

Odds are it was someone in her family or a friend of the family, which would make it make more sense

May God look after this young girl. People are sick

Some of that will depend on if the internet is where she met this guy and only way to communicate with him before she ran off with him. It could also be someone she already knew from area who gave her a tablet to use to secretly communicate things that couldn’t be said around others.
Also, the article didn’t say this, but she was staying at her grandparents on a school night when she took off which makes me think she might have to stay there more than usual and might have taken advantage of them being less tech savvy or more trusting than her mother about her use of the internet at their house.
