Had two close calls with black bears today.

Black bears are more prone to predatory attacks on humans than brown bears. Brown bears are also much more likely to cub defend than black bears. Black bears are also much more likely to stalk humans than brown bears.

All of that is still rare, of course, but people need to know that black bears are more aggressive than brown bears, more widespread with a greater population, and capable of being both aggressive to humans and viewing them as potential prey.

Was probably lost looking for the Dancing Bear bachelorette party.

Bears have been known to attack man, although the fact is that fewer people have been killed by bears than in all of ww1 and ww2 combined.

Anyone thinking black bears aren't dangerous should Google them in Arkansas just in the past few months.

I think they are planning a rebellion.
