Your forgetting the thousands of ranters jumping on the track to chase the body down to whack it with a stick. Tridon might not even come in the top 50 in the scenario.

Shep runs a 10.7 hundred meters.
Lipscomb was the fastest sprinter on that team...district champion in the 100...ran the anchor on their relay.
TH wouldn't beat him by 10 yards. He would beat him by about a half second or so.

It would probably be pretty close to ten yards. Even though trindon doesn't have the closing speed that guys like Walter Dix and Tyson Gay have, his top speed is still faster than Sheps. His lead would continue to grow til the end of the race.
As far as demps vs. Trindon for fastest in college football, toss up, yes demps record for the 100 meter dash is .01 faster than trindon's time BUT(and I will sound like an LSU homer) Trindon has a faster 60m time and since the length of the football field is 100 yards(about ten yards shorter than 100 meters) it could be(again Homer)argued that in a 100 meter dash that .01 would be eliminated.

Agree close but not quite. Here's the math to prove it...
TH runs 100m in 10.1 seconds
or 328 feet in 10.1 seconds = about 32.5 feet/sec
but that includes acceleration from 0
If TH runs the first forty yards (120 feet) in 4.2 seconds, he runs the last 208 feet in 5.9 secs for an approximate top end rate of 35.25 feet/sec.
If RS runs the first forty in 4.4 seconds then his approximate top end rate over 100m is 33 feet/sec.
When TH hits the finish line in 10.1 seconds, RS will still be running for 0.6 more seconds before finishing. TH therefore beats RS by
33 x 0.6 = approx. 20 feet or about 7 yards.
Thus, a "world class" runner (i.e. TH) easily beats a "fast" runner (i.e. RS) by 5 to 10 yards over 100m.

Trindon recently broke the school record in the 60 meter dash indoor. He posted a time of 6.56 .01 better than Richard T. last year. Also, the fastest time in the nation thus far. Trindon will post a 9.93 this year in the 100 meter dash. Book it!
