Is there $50M vs $40M that huge of a difference in the grand scheme of things?

Next year they will lose all their WRs, qb, both safeties, butler, gooden, pyburn plus more I can’t think of.

They’re not gonna go out and spend another $18 million on a roster again with this buffoon.

As much as I hate Kelly and hated the hire, I’ve accepted Kelly will be here at least two more seasons after this. The buyout is just too massive

Especially since it’s paid over time it’s not that much of a difference

The possibility of Kelly working elsewhere or negotiating a lower buyout so he’s not tied to the contract long term is a reality. So I’d say whenever he’s fired, the buyout is less than what the actual number is at that time.

And replacing Sloan and Davis likely. Getting a new offensive staff only to have them fired anyway next year. It’s going to end up costing the same or more after next season.

Perkins, West, and Whit. Jacobian Guillory, Damian Ramos. Possibly Braelin Moore.

Amazing how entitled fans are when spending other people's money. That's the reason I started the thread yesterday asking if fans would give $250or 500 of their own money.. Answers were revealing

It’s money printed out of thin air. They could just print more.

Whose money is Woody spending?

LSU football has $50 million a year in direct revenue (not including SEC/TV revenue sharing) and reportedly spent an additional $20 million in NIL this past season. Where do you think that money comes from?

Drizzle revenue is one side of the balance sheet, the other is expenses. So what is run rate and cash burn?

Basic accounting. You can't dip into cash drawer for this expense

Hes not going to be fired at the end of next season unless he finishes 5-7 or 6-6 this year and goes 3-9 - 5-7 next season. Even then he likely keeps his job. Hes going to continue to be the head Coach going into 2027 unless someone else hires him.

If Kelly is back next year with a new QB and a new OC and staff does anyone really think anything is going to miraculously get better? Based on what?

Tough mentality is at every position. It's not just your strength coach. LES and O both talked and Taught it.
Bk has to teach and demand it. To his staff first and then the players.

FSU who is low key broke is about to fire norvell who has a $58 million buyout.
I’m not saying LSU is about to fire BK, but to say they can’t bc the buyout is too large is just incorrect.
They’ll find the money.
