I think Offense is close to finding their identity. Saturday was better, just finish.

We’re close. We need to finish drives. If we can do that I think we can have an enjoyable second half of the season.

Defend just needs to keep putting pressure on teams and if offense can start using the defensive stops to get a lead this team can have a season akin to OSU last year.

I’m just as negative as others on Saturdays, but the weekdays give balance me out.

if it's correctable, why don't the coaches "correct" it in fall camp, before it ever happens???

Why wait until halfway into the season???

Optimistically I'd say you are right.

But then you realize that despite high yardage totals, Sloan sucked scoring TDs in the redzone last year, and it's been an issue this year (even without the TOs). LSU had 5 RZ chances vs. SC. Even if you set aside the TO's, they could only turn that into 13 points (2 FGs and a TD). LSU is 118th in Red Zone scoring %. And that includes Ramos being 5-5 in FGs under 40 yards. Last year, despite being 19th in total offense, LSU was 83rd in RZ scoring %.

IMO, we will find out Saturday if last week's game was the 2023 Auburn game, where LSU's defense only allowed 18 points, before returning to sucking again, or the start of meaningful changes.

The fumble doesn't bother me. That is the first lost fumble since Clemson. It was the result of a perfectly timed punch-out by the defender.

It's starting a drive at the opponent's 17 yard line and managing to only gain 7 yards before kicking a FG. Worse, it's getting to 1st and goal from the 1, and in 3 plays managing to lose 2 yards and kick a FG.

If LSU were generally a great RZ team, but missed out because of uncharacteristic turnovers in the RZ in one game, I wouldn't worry. But that's not the case. The TO's were just an additional means of Sloan being AWFUL in the RZ.

OLine is gelling. It takes time. That only happens in games. The offense was definitely better last Saturday hopefully now they can put together a whole game.

Have to start in order to finish. LSU offense has now started.

Every team will struggle in the redzone if they don’t have a running game. LSU’s best bet, unfortunately at this point, is to get it to the 7 and throw jump balls to Trey’Dez.

close? maybe .

saturday's game will be the tell all for the season.

Ole Miss was the most competitive game out of the 5.
Vanderbilt will be a tougher match than Ole Miss.

I'm pulling for my Tigahs but have doubts about the offensive coaching staff,
and the BS fed to the media and fans by CBK.

I have a sneaky feeling that the Vandy game is going to be a turning point for our season. We beat Vandy by 2 or more scores and we go into the A&M game with a ton of momentum and confidence.

Having an identity will help the O.

Having Treydez finally break out will put pressure on defense. It will open up the field for the other WRs

I agree. Playcalling balance was huge. Using the RBs as RBs was huge. Sticking with the run after Berry got blown up showed Sloan may have grown up a little. OR BK was giving guidance over the game.

Yeah this what our season hangs on, all he has to do is play ok and ONLY turn it over 1 time a game we can win 10 games.

Or, freak out seizure Nuss shows up and its 8-4.

Absolutely not, take a look at who Vandy has played. They won't be easy, but they don't have the offense that Ole Miss has and that was still a winnable game for LSU.

It shouldn’t take half the season to find your identity.

Here is the thing about the "correct it during fall" narrative. I can teach you how to protect the football1000 times. It's on YOU to protect it in game. I can't run the ball for you. There has to be some kind of accountability here I mean gaaa damn.

It took Ohio State until November to win a game that moved the needle. And then they lost to Michigan in a game they only managed 10 points. They regrouped and had some of their best offensive outputs of the year in the playoffs. I know the rant wants the team to be good game 1 and play the entire season perfectly but the truth is the team that makes the biggest improvements as the season goes usually makes the run. We have the biggest potential to improve because we have weapons on offense. We just haven't had the QB that can make all the throws. Hopefully he continues to get healthy and we explode.

Absolutely have to get more than 20 points on 420 yards. 420 yards should be an easy 31 to 34 pt score.

We will see Saturday. The theme this year has been how there have been plenty of small mistakes that are correctable each week that could lead to the offense being more productive. But the issue is that they haven't been able to put it all together for a game. Odds are that we fix a few things but then another few issues hold us back, hopefully thats not the case but only time will tell. I hope they turn the corner.

Sustaining drives and keeping the defense fresh is going to be key for us to get to where we want to by the end of the season we just have not shown the ability to believe that will be the case.

I think we run the ball better in this game than any of the previous games. We should have blown SC out by at least two more touchdowns. This is the week we start putting it together and eliminating the mistakes. We will beat Vandy by two touchdowns minimum.

I also think we will beat Vandy by a couple scores. We match up well with them. They are going to have an extremely tough time throwing the ball outside the numbers. Get the lead, make their offense one dimensional, wear them down with our depth. Only thing that worries me is a sleepy start due to an 11 AM kickoff, but I think we will be up for this game. LSU gotta be tired of hearing all the vandy talk.
