There is no way we get a 2nd round pick for Olave. If a team is that dumb you take it and don’t look back.

I wouldn’t trade him for anything other than a second. Hes under contract next year, and that team could recoup a third comp pick if he performs well and leaves after. So why trade him for anything less?
We pretty much gave up a third for Vele. The conversation starts at a 2nd.

Problem is finding a GM as dumb as Loomis to give up that much. Most contenders are contenders because they don’t have a GM as dumb as Loomis.

I def don't want to pay his next contract, but I hope trading him doesn't hurt Rattler / Shough's development.

Let’s play this smart and not do it asap. Start the rumors, field calls, leak that there is interest from multiple teams, leak positive reports about him, and then trade him right up at the trade deadline. Hopefully this will create a competitive market that brings better picks.

Would be a major luxury for them, already having Adams and Puka. IMO anyone trading for Olave needs to be ready to pay him a Garrett Wilson contract. Ideal fit to me is the Steelers...Olave might actually succeed on that team because DK can be the one.
