BCS plot hole

When Jimmy sabotaged Chuck on Mesa Verde, the most logical thing to do is check the computer files for the documents that were altered and see what the dates are, 1216 or 1261
Seems a huge deal

having to stay up until 2am to see if Hawaii would lose to Boise State so USC's SOS ranking would drop.

It was one after the magna carta! As if I could ever make such a mistake!

You are not allowed to criticize BCS on this board. Don't you know it is better than BB? The biggest plot hole for me was the silly and unnecessary harassment of Howard Hamlin.

It doesn't matter that he could go back and show people on a pc that he did get the date right. Having it wrong on paper in that room at that moment caused a massive, expensive delay. He knew Jimmy changed it. Going back the next day with his computer file changes nothing. It doesn't prove Jimmy did it either. Only his taped confession could, and even that was illegally obtained.

i was there!
..and here!
i'm not even sure what TD was called back then but i had no way to watch the game and nobody to share my consternation with so i found this place and refreshed like a fiend while the posters on here updated the score.
i was doing high kicks at 2am by myself

context matters, but go on stretching out the plot hole concept so you can ease in your backdoor criticisms
it was well past time for the AP/Coaches poles to be neutered

I'm confused. Wasn't the whole point that Jimmy did it manually by literally, physically "cutting and pasting" (gluing) the numbers onto the paper and making copies and all of that?
I may be misremembering, but he didn't simply open the file on the computer and change things, and him doing what he did (and how he did it) showed the lengths he was willing to go to pull off a con. See this gif:

Yes and that's my point. Chuck should have looked at the computer files, if only to prove he didn't make a mistake in the address. Do that and show Hamlin there was sabotage.
I doing a rewatch and this is a sticking point.

How was Chuck going to use the computer to show that?

That’s not a plot hole.

Seriously?
Jimmy altered the paper copy. The original files are still on the server. Probably backup files elsewhere too.

Chuck was scared to death of electronics though. He wasn’t going to knowingly get close to anything emitting an EMF.
If he typed the documents Saul altered and didn’t dictate them to someone working on a computer it was most likely on the typewriter we see at his house. That’s why Saul’s plan worked because he knew there wasn’t a digital copy.

All of this. But even moreso than that the papers still had the wrong address, so it wouldn't really prove anything other than them being correct initially. Jimmy wouldn't be attached to that. So all it would prove is that at one point in time they had the correct address. Not sure that would've been relevant at the hearing.

Letting the computers pick who the best 2 CFB teams seems like a big one.
