My 2 Stroke my have given up the ghost, and its time to upgrade. Anyone have some top secret outboard connections or know of ones with decent pricing currently? Looking for a 115, brand doesn't matter to me.

as with any outboard motor, go shop where you can get it serviced. Look online for prices and make sure you're not getting ripped off. Price will vary if you just need motor, or motor, gauge, controls, etc.

115- Tohatsu would be my choice if new. Look up Nicholas Metrejean on FB. He's a smaller shop- does a lot of hot rod 2 strokes, but a certified tohatsu dealer, and will help you with set up and the perfect prop etc.

I'll save OP a little time. He wants $13685 for that 115 Tohatsu installed.

LMC In Houston wants $11,400 for a 115 SHO. 115 SHO Houston

Duvic’s in New Orleans was the best price I could find on a new Suzuki 60hp.

Yamaha dealer in Thibodaux also had the best price I could find for Yamaha.

If you’re looking in South LA

The fact that so many of these dealers have no working web page is frustrating.

I'd bet a Honda or Suzuki would last forever.

I worked with Southern Outdoors in Thibodaux for my Yamaha 115. They were the best Yamaha prices around at the time and were good to work with.

Where are you located? If you have a merc or Yamaha you'll save money on riggging going back to the same brand.

If you have a johnson/rude pick the one you like its going to take a re-rig to get you going. Tohatsu will be a little cheaper, Yamaha and merc both running rebate and warranty promos right now. quality of local dealer is important as well. Nothing wrong with the scudzuki either I just don't deal with them enough to advise on that size probably between yam/merc and tohatsu on price.

Tim's Marine in Violet has several new non-current Yamaha F-115's for sale. They do not list prices; one of them is a 2022 and another is a 2023.

Thibodaux. Unfortunately, I need new controls regardless. Mine are pretty worse for wear.

For when you need to get there fast and dont really care if you make it back

Last time I shopped up 250's, mercurys were both cheaper and lighter than yamahas and not much more than zukis. Mercury has a really good product line right now.

I used to be a Merc hater but it seems like they are just as reliable as any Yamaha or Suzuki in the last 10-15 yrs.
