It's just weird someone that's been dead so long is putting out an album???

I believe it’s the first of three new releases.

Shooter would be a roofer or scaffold builder if his last name was Smith. He has no redeeming musical ability

Same could be said for a lot of children of famous stars. I don’t follow Shooter all that much, but he doesn’t seem to take himself too seriously from what I’ve seen. Quite the yoke being Hoss’s son…

Yes, Lukas is a musical Swiss Army Knife. He can do a lot of things good.

I saw him guitar solo with his frickin’ teeth on Mannish Boy with Willie, Micah, and the family at Willie’s 4th of July picnic in Ft. Worth in 2012. He can absolutely do some cool shite on a fret board.

Lukas used to be a bleeding heart on IG back in the day but he got some comment section pie in his face during the Jussie Smollet bullshite, and I actually called him out and he responded cordially. After that fiasco I think he put his guard up online.

I have been off social media for a while now so I don’t know what the in and out of his separation from Promise of the Real looked like, but I bet he got offered a TON of cash to go solo.

This will always be Christine McVie's song but Waylon's version is outstanding and a very good listen.

POTR has been Neal Young’s band for a few years. Lukas said over time it felt more like Neal’s than his and spurred him in another direction. His new album is in my top 5 this year.

They were just doing a Waylon top 50 countdown on SiriusXM Outlaw Country. I guess trying to promote these new releases. Love Waylon so put it out there.

Disagree. He’s an excellent producer and decent musician.

I listened to it this morning. It's not terrible, but not earth shattering by any means.

People tend to splooge over these "lost recordings" albums, but in reality they are just songs that didn't make the cut, usually for good reason.

Usually its the kids or the record company just trying to squeeze a few more bucks out of daddy's name. Seems to be the case here as well.

What's the alternative? Less Waylon? Songbird is a great tune and the other songs sound vinatage and I'd rather listen to a hundred Waylon records than today's crop of country stars trying desperately to cosplay the Outlaw and 90s eras.

I’m pretty sure he’s won a Grammy as a producer.

This album is great. Probably will be the best country album put out this year.

And as far as musical kids Devon allmans new album is pretty good.

I tend to agree with your general sentiment... nothing on here is essential Waylon and it has that patchwork feel to it, but it's still good to hear that voice again and the cover of Songbird is pretty damn good... I'm sure I'll listen to the other two that are coming, but I expect about the same... I hope he has some that Waylon wrote in there...
