Doesn't count unless you have the yard sign.

I don't think it's advertising, it's making fun of the job requirements for a shite job. I could be wrong, of course.

That baws #1 job is gonna be making sure gaudy shite like that yard sign doesn't last more than five minutes in the neighborhood. This is serious HOA bidness!

I wonder who they think will take that job for such a low wage.
I would be more concerned about having such a person hanging around than I would be without them...

Our security is all volunteer. We have about 12 guys in rotation. I got our new plate carrier patches in this week.

I remember a better time when neighbors banned together to keep their neighborhoods clean. HOAs are nothing more than a modern day pyramid scheme. Another thing the younger generation has created to pay for vs just simply being responsible.

For those aspiring but unqualified to be Dollar Store security guards.

This guy named Karl who lives in the front section of our neighborhood where the garden homes are got in real big trouble for stolen valor because he was driving the HOA security unit to the Saltgrass while wearing his security credentials after hours to try to pick up women. It wasn't late night; it was just between shifts at like 2:00 - 4:00 on Tuesdays - Thursdays. He said it was a pretty good hunting ground at Saltgrass then, too, and I believe him. That driveway had a different hatchback parked in it twice a week. HOA President, Patrick who wears an Inspector Gadget jacket while he walks his dog in the morning, tried to strip Karl of his security clearance but they couldn't find anyone suitable enough to replace him, meaning they could physically do the job and could be within 500 yards of the bus stop the kids wait at in the morning. So Karl got off with a reprimand. They took one of his chevrons though.
