It might not be much, but 2 years ago, Kimmel would have been given a raise and on every morning show except Fox. And maybe them too.
There's been a few of yall lately really hammering that "nothing will happen". And you have every reason to feel that way.
I'm not sure people truly appreciate how big this is. I'm stunned.

so you all are ok with a president and the government threatening a a channel to fire someone or else they will find ways to make it difficult for the network?
This is the world we want to live in now? The government has full control over what people get to hear?
If you don't like him, just don't watch him. I can't remember ever watching his show, but this is a huge government overreach.

Did you feel this way when Obama sent the IRS after tea party groups?
Also, Kimmel was canceled after many affiliates refused to carry the show. This was a revolt from his supposed audience.

Seriously, I don't care if abc fires him on their own accord. But the government threatening a private company to fire someone is too far.
