I have family that went there and still live in the area. Honestly doesn't surprise me. Wilmington proper is liberal AF but surrounded by preppers and shite. My brother in law is extremely involved politically there. He's pretty classically liberal and even he's questioning what the hell is going on now.

UNCW is very PC left. Almost as left as the triangle Duke and Chapel Hill.
They had all kinds of free laptops and pizza on campus to vote for Obama- most especially in 2012.
Cape Fear Community College the same. They took down McCain Palin signs.
Lara Trump is from there, Wrightsville Beach.

I do have to say why did they not get a better video of fat man neck beard with the radio and fat knees woman who should be covering her legs, not because I don't love seeing a long legged lovely ($1 to Billy Idol) because I do (very much so), and she is not, but she should is a sweat hog who should be wearing sweat pants (to walk to lose weight) because her fat arse is offensive and disgusting.
