Do you all feel a shift in the media to be more balanced?

Trump and team have applied a lot of pressure here. It feels to me like it has moved more toward center in mainstream media. Obviously still a ton to do to ensure people are getting the news instead of someone’s version of the news. Full disclosure I’m neither republican nor democrat.

No, they may pretend to be centrist. Walter Cronkite did that very well. Dan Rather had more trouble faking being an objective moderate.

to make a shift like you're suggesting, one has to have some self evaluation and notice some wrong on their part. i can say with the utmost certainty they are definitely not seeing anything wrong with how they act\report news. and those that do get fired for being bi-partisan.

T-Mike, I understand your feeling. I do. Why? Because as reasonable, forgiving people we EXPECT fairness. We WANT fairness so badly that sometimes we give others benefit of the doubt.
With some glaring exceptions, I think the media is trying to APPEAR more balanced, but often they can't help themselves and step in it.
I think what you're feeling is the media trying to wait Trump out. They know he's going to return serve harder than they gave it, which nobody likes, so they are a little more measured.
Do NOT forget who and what they are. Leftists. Propagandists. Deceivers. Part of deception is making your opponents think you aren't a threat. They are, and they will continue to be.
