They get canceled for supporting killing innocent people. We get canceled for living our lives. It's not the same.

It's so much worse than that from the left. They would cancel people over jokes. Or NOT supporting an idea. Etc.

I have zero sympathy for the cancellation of these people and their entire lifestyle simply because they CHOSE to post their lunacy in the most public ways possible. It’s not like anyone has to do anything other than look around to see their foolish and disgusting behavior.
I feel as sorry for them as if they picked up a gun and shot themselves in the face intentionally.

The complaint against “cancel culture” was not about being fired or shamed for speech. That has always existed and will always exist.
The criticism with “cancel culture” was that this mechanism of enforcement was used against innocuous speech well within the bounds of reasonable debate (e.g., advocating for tighter border security) and used as witch-hunting missions against unpopular people (e.g., scraping decades old internet posts to show someone said “f*g*ot”).
In cancel culture, the threshold of what was acceptable speech was tightened only to progressive views.
Now, the views that are being “canceled” are current public celebrations of murder, and in some cases, encouragement of further murders.
This has always been beyond the pale of what is acceptable socially. Moreover, so far, this is a discrete social enforcement event, not an ongoing wave of various “cancellations” for myriads of views.

My belief is that if you celebrate the assassination of a public individual and you work in government, you should be fired immediately
If you are a member of the military, you should be discharged with dishonor.
If you work in healthcare or education, you should be fired after tenure review and your license should be revoked.
If you work in private industry, its up to the private employer. If they feel it harms their business, it is acceptable to fire an employee. If they feel it doesn't harm their business or they agree, the free market will tell if that's a good decision.

And I hope the conservatives do exactly that and worse! They’ve been calling conservatives fascist for years. Now let’s show them what real unbridled fascism is.

Distinct difference when we cancel you for objectively vile behavior.
They cancel us for not assimilating and speaking objective truths or asking legitimate questions.
Walsh made a great point on that.

People warned the left that the pendulum always swings back eventually. Whether they thought they were invincible or didn't care is up for debate but things have reached the FO stage.

A good catholic like chubbies claims to be would not call what’s been happening as simply mean.
She’s a troll trolling. If you feed that pig that pig will eat.
She has earned being ignored. Let her talk to herself.
